Customer Service Representative

We are working on behalf of an insurance company based in Shipley. They are looking for a Customer Services Representative. Their Customer Services Team are committed to providing an outstanding service to customers through attitude, expertise, technical support and quality of service. The team is responsible for the following activities:

Call handling

Claim handling

Collection of customer payments

Data handling

Fulfilment support

Issue of documentation

Regulatory compliance

Complaint handling

Provision of required management information

All other administrative functions related to customer service

As a Customer Services Representative you will play a key role within the Customer Services Team. You will be responsible for the provision of a claims handling service in accordance with agreed service levels and targets. You will handle claims for a range of different schemes via Corporate Partners and on a direct basis with the company. You will work within the parameters of established procedures and will adhere to all regulatory requirements, in particular ‘Treating Customers Fairly’. You will be able to demonstrate your competence through regular call monitoring reviews and biannual assessments.

Skills and Knowledge:

Good computer and keyboard skills

A good level of administration skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Experience of customer service

Experience of claims handling

Patience and calmness under pressure

The ability to handle complaints and difficult situations

Hours: The company work shifts between 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 3 pm on a Saturday. The hours will be full time (37.5) hours and the starting salary will be £16,000.
