Our business is people – our vision is simple – to be the best at what we do and do it exceptionally well, we are a team in every sense of the word, a team who care.
With a career in recruitment spanning over 20 years Jo heads up our Business Development and Operations Strategy. Jo started out managing key accounts for clients including Yorkshire Electricity, Morrisons and NHS and has played an integral role in the development and success of Baker Harding since joining the company in 1994. Jo has a keen eye for talent, a genuine interest in people and a passion for quality and service, which are the core principles behind our brand and vision. Away from the office Jo can be found pounding the streets as she trains for her first marathon. She also enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures, closer to home she loves catching up with friends and family.
Liam joined Baker Harding in January 2007 and quickly became the manager of our Industrial Section. On a daily basis Liam would liaise with clients and candidates and was no stranger to being on site for 5.30am, often dealing with calls/bookings even earlier! Due to a hereditary penchant for numbers and an over-keen eye for detail, Liam has since moved on to managing our Accounts and Payroll Department, overseeing the financial strategy of the business. Out of office hours Liam can usually be found in the gym, swimming up and down the pool at the John Charles Centre and playing bass in a band.
Sue has worked at Baker Harding since 1990. Over this time there has very rarely been a dull moment which has made the whole experience both challenging and rewarding for Sue. Her role in the company encompasses several facets, primarily recruiting for permanent positions but also including accounts and business development. When Sue is not engrossed in this world she enjoys scaling the heights of the Fells in The Lake District, hiding the credit cards from her husband so he can’t buy anymore mountain bikes and acting as a roadie at his music gigs.
Sandra would say it seems like she has spent her whole life at Baker Harding. Over a quarter of a century (since 1990) sounds a very long time indeed! It has been Sandra’s privilege and pleasure to work as a Recruitment Consultant for Baker Harding. She specialises in permanent placements and still gets a buzz from placing a candidate. Her hobby is writing funny poems, specialising in weddings, birthdays and christenings. A special occasion or ‘a bit of a do’ – let a poem say the words for you!
Sarah joined Baker Harding in November 2016 starting off her recruitment career. She is responsible for managing the industrial temporary desk, placing candidates into roles across West Yorkshire. Sarah has a passion for social media and has a large part to play in our digital marketing strategy. Outside of work Sarah is a very sporty and competitive individual and loves a challenge. She previously represented her county, Yorkshire, for Hockey and is currently playing for Horsforth Ladies Hockey Team as their centre forward.
