Technical Support

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support professional to join a brilliant team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for helping others. This role involves providing IT support to end-users, troubleshooting issues across various operating systems, and ensuring that all technical queries are resolved efficiently. The successful candidate will be adept at communicating complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms.
  • Respond to user inquiries via the help desk system, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems, including LAN configurations and firewall settings.
  • Document all support interactions in a ticketing system to maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions.
  • Assist users with software installations, updates, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements to provide informed support.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Technical Support or IT support role is essential.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems
  • Proficient in using help desk software for tracking support requests.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications in IT support or networking would be beneficial but not mandatory.
